Jane Thompson

Jane Thompson is an urbanist who over thirty years has made a mark on many cities in North America and the world, planning highly successful well-loved places that contribute to the economic health, vitality and identity of the cities in which they are located. Her projects include Chicago’s Navy Pier, Boston’s Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Grand Central District BID and Times Square Center in New York.

Mrs. Thompson has pioneered concepts for reinvestment in urban contexts throughout the world by integrating multi-disciplinary technical expertise in Planning, Architecture and Urban Design with the crafting of public-private partnerships for implementation. Throughout her career Mrs. Thompson has specialized in the development of under-utilized urban and industrial land to reconnect cities to their waterfronts. In long partnership with Ben Thompson, FAIA, she has been planning principal for urban waterfront commissions in over 25 cities in Europe, UK and Asia. Now as Principal of Thompson Design Group, she creates successful places by addressing social interaction, commercial exchange, and economic vitality in all the firm’s work.

Pratap Talwar

Pratap Talwar is an architect, planner and urban designer whose projects over twenty years span a wide range of development contexts in the United States, and Asia. He brings experience in architectural and urban design, real estate programming, and urban planning and policy, to find creative solutions for joint private and public initiatives at scales ranging from urban revitalization initiatives to individual real estate developments and design of multi-purpose infrastructure.

Representative joint development projects that Mr. Talwar has led for TDG include Pittsburgh Convention Center; North Coast Harbor and Convention Center and Playhouse Square, Cleveland; Masterplan for South Boston; Planet Park Football Stadium, Indiana; Masterplan for Kyoto, and James Mountain Development, Kobe, in Japan; Lincoln Road Revitalization Plan, Miami Beach; and the Penang Island Waterfront Renewal project in Penang, Malaysia. Mr. Talwar was Principal in charge for the master plan for Buffalo Bayou Master Plan,Houston, TX, resulting in a redevelopment and conservation strategy for a 10-mile river corridor running through downtown.

Buzz Constable

Buzz Constable provides real estate and land use counseling to private interest and public agencies throughout New England. Utilizing management experience from the private sector, public service on local, regional and statewide boards and diverse non-profit leadership, his activities include innovative management of development, open space and public infrastructure.  Mr. Constable is an officer of a real estate investment company and a practicing land use attorney.

As Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Director of A. W. Perry, Inc., Mr. Constable has since 1985 made development, investment, property management and financing decisions for a century old development company with investments in the Greater Boston region. He is a principal of Transit Realty Associates, established in 1996 to assist the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority with its real estate activities, including transit-oriented development. Public appointments include the Central Artery Environmental Oversight Committee, Governor (Weld’s) Blue Ribbon Commission on Open Space, Move Massachusetts, and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, of which he served as President and continues on its Executive Committee.
